The Lowdown
So here it is, the low down on me and where I am at:
I dropped into the conscious world in 1972. I grew up and lived in Keene, NH, USA. When I was a sophomore in high school I had an experience with a song that bowled me over and turned me into a lifelong, passionate music fan.
I rambled throughout the New England states until settling in Boston, Masachusetts. While in Boston I met my wife in serendipitous fashion while on the way to a Tom Petty concert.
We moved to Florida … and then to Sydney, Australia, where we lived for five years. I spent almost every Friday night of my five years in Sydney hanging with The Kingfish, owner of Mojo Music (”The King’s of the Back Catalog”) one of the last great record shops on this planet.
In 2009 we moved to London; London is where I live today. London is steeped in history, culture(s) and has a thriving live music scene (which I indulge in quite often).
I work for a digital marketing company as Director of Marketing & Public Relations. There is a home office right outside of my old stomping grounds – Boston. The London office, which I work out of, is right next to Soho – which is a perfect location for lunchtime trips to the many used vinyl shops in area.
Where am I now? Exactly. I am here, in The Now. Where is The now? It is at the intersection; the inflection; the crossroads (The 61 and The 49); it is where choices are made; it is at the point of decision making.
It’s like Neil Young says:
“It’s what I’m doing now, man, right now, that matters. Not yesterday, or the day before that, but now. Right now.”
